The simple shape of this bowl provides an adequate capacity for a thick enamel paste on the inside, initiating the formation of drops on the outside. Released from the support by a system of ducts, the enamel drops create a multitude of delicate little bases that raise the bowl, making it unstable and more tenuous than it should be. Heads and tails, past and future, inside and outside, like Janus and his two faces, the bowl offers the choice. The enamel no longer depends on the ceramic shard, it is free from it to transform and complete the object into a near autonomous material. The enamel surpasses its covering role and tends to new substances. It is tinted with blue according to the red iron contained in the stoneware and forms bubbles in its thickness, giving it a foamy appearance.
