In this collection, the glaze disappears from the surface of the clay and is replaced by a genuine piece of glass, either found or salvaged. Exposed, the clay expresses its multiple nuances, while the glass reveals its transparency and finesse, no longer dependent on the clay.
Created with eco-responsibility in mind, the restoration of obsolete, mismatched or useless objects is linked to a handcrafted design concept.
With this collection, I’m fighting against excessive consumption. By starting with an element that has already been manufactured, a manufacturing step is eliminated and the need for new material is reduced. The particular shape of glass inspires me to find the clay extension that will complete it. The glass piece with its specific dimensions is reborn thanks to the addition of a made-to-measure part. This hand-turned ceramic technique gives it new meaning, a second life with a unique personality.
I use stemware, simple drinking glasses, glassblowers’ test pieces, spirit or juice bottles, kerosene lamp flame covers, flasks or lamp parts as inspiration to transform them into unique vases.
Ceramic and glass parts are glued together, but depending on their type, they can also remain removable to facilitate handling or maintenance.
The Switch Vase is a special product in the Terre et Verre collection. It’s a porcelain neck that can be adapted to several everyday containers, such as a jam jar or a wine bottle, to transform them and give them a second life.
It lets you dress up common objects and create your own vase to suit your objects, adapting to the dimensions of the flowers.
An aesthetic, trendy and practical concept.
These hybrid boxes can be either functional or decorative. Magical objects, they reveal a wonderful color inside once opened. Secret boxes, jewelry boxes, candy boxes for chocolates, they can hold your collections, your finds, and contain up to the limit of your imagination…
These glass and stoneware flowerpots feature a capillary watering system. Cisal cords pump the water stored in the glass bowl through the roots to the plant.
