A stackable dinner service, this sculptural totem from the Service Totem collection is made up of various containers, plates, salad bowls, trays and bowls. This dual function makes it a hybrid object between decorative and functional.

At first glance, it’s a sculptural form. On closer inspection, the totem is revealed to be made up of several parts. Once dismantled, various containers, plates, salad bowls, trays and bowls make up the totem!

This model is a stackable dinner service with 10 pieces which, when assembled, form a small vase-shaped sculpture. Its aesthetic treatment expresses the beauty of raw earth on the outside and the surprise of color on the inside, or vice versa.

It is manufactured with the utmost precision, using the turning technique to obtain the right joints. The pieces are turned on a potter’s wheel. After kneading the ball of clay, it is centered on the girelle by moving it up and down. Once centered, the ball is pierced, then the walls are carefully fitted into the desired shape. After a day or so of drying, the piece is ready for the turning stage. The piece is turned over on the girelle and, using tools, the lines are tightened and the base refined. Despite its apparent ease, this technique takes years of practice to achieve the satisfaction of turning the imagined shape.

This 10-piece set allows you to organize a complete meal for 6 people.
